The most common types of individual wild boar hunt period are still-hunt and deer-stalking. Wild boar stalking hunt is commonly practised from August to October for tuskers and sows and during spring and summer for gruntling and yearlings. Hunt is carried out in the fields and near the mangers. Hunters need to be capable of approaching silently the prey and, at the same time, maintaining coolness for a good shot. The 10 highest CIC points wild boar trophies in the Czech republic vary from 126 to 134,35. The highest wild boar trophy (134,35 CIC Points) was shot in South Bohemia in 2013.
