Thanks to our decades of experience in organising hunts in the Czech Republic and our qualified local staff, we can offer mouflon ram hunts in free-range areas all over the country with excellent populations of this species, in terms of both the number of animals and the quality and value of the trophies. Mouflon ram hunting days are usually organised as a combination of stalking and hunting from high seat-hunting towers. Our experienced hunting guides are on hand to meet the needs and wishes of our guests. Mouflons have excellent sight and hearing, so getting close to them is not easy. The shooting distance can sometimes be considerable but often does not exceed 150 metres. The mouflon's mating season is one of the best periods for hunting mouflon. In recent years, this has started earlier than in the past in many of our hunting areas, running from mid-October to mid-November. However, other periods are also very good, such as summer (July to September), when mouflons are highly active. Another good time to hunt is in the winter, from December to the end of February, when the mouflons go in search of food. Hunting in the snow can be particularly impressive, and in winter the rams have a beautiful coat that is ideal for taxidermy. In our free-range areas, there is a good chance of bagging a medal trophy ram worth up to 225 CIC points.
